Where is the Lens Located in the Eye?

The lens, also called crystalline lens, is the transparent structure inside the eye that focuses light rays onto the retina. See the diagram above, which illustrates the lens location within the eye, and its position in relation to the sclera, pupil, iris and vitreous humor. The lens bends (refracts) light rays that come into the eye to help us see. A healthy lens is clear, however a cloudy lens or blurry lens is what happens when one develops cataract(s).
